Hope for orphans and widows in East Central Africa
Since 2004 we have helped widows build livelihoods through micro-loans and put orphans through school in Uganda and DR Congo.
Our mission
Hope Centers for Children of Africa comes to the aid of orphans and those who care for them. We break the cycle of poverty through proven methods — education, micro-grants, and self-sustaining projects — and combat dependency by helping communities stand on their own.
We believe communities flourish when widows can earn a living and orphans can go to school. Rather than building orphanages, we place children with host families and equip caregivers to provide for them — an approach that has carried our first Hope Center in Bunia, DR Congo all the way to financial self-sufficiency.
