Hope Centers for Children of Africa

Who we are

Serving orphans and widows in East Central Africa since 2004.

Hope Centers for Children of Africa (HCCA) is a nonprofit that has served orphans and widows in East Central Africa since 2004–05, operating in Bogoro, DR Congo and the Luweero District of Uganda.

Our mission

We work to break the cycle of poverty through proven methods and to combat dependency. Our tools are education, micro-grants, and self-sustaining projects that put communities on a path to providing for themselves.

Our purpose

Our purpose is to establish Hope Centers that come to the aid of orphaned children and those who care for them. Instead of building orphanages, we place children in individual host families and strengthen the whole household.

Our foundation of faith

We operate from Christian principles. We believe the Bible is God’s word and that Jesus Christ is the only Savior and Lord, and our work flows out of that conviction.

Accountability

HCCA received federal 501(c)(3) recognition in 2009 and earned approval from the Charities Review Council in 2014, meeting their standards for nonprofit accountability.
