Welcome — start here
A quick introduction to Hope Centers for Children of Africa.
HCCA is a ministry dedicated to assisting orphans and widows across Africa. Our mission is to come to the aid of orphans and those who care for them — and to invite you to join us in breaking the cycle of poverty, one child, one family at a time.
What we do
Five ways Hope Centers serve orphans and the families who care for them.
Education
Academic schooling and vocational training (carpentry, welding, sewing) that gives orphans a future beyond poverty.
Clean water
Wells, well repairs, and household water filtration so families have safe, reliable water.
Healthcare
Medical and dental care partnerships serving children and caregivers in our Hope Center communities.
Safe housing
Children are placed with vetted host families — never institutionalized — and households receive support to thrive.
Economic sustainability
Micro-loans for widows, mechanized farming, and livestock programs that move communities from aid to independence.
Where we work
- Bunia, DR Congo — established 2004–05; grew to serve 700+ orphans and 200+ widows, and reached full financial self-sufficiency in 2014 through farming and development projects.
- Luweero District, Uganda — launched 2014–15, with micro-grants, livestock, and an expanding farm.
- Bogoro, DR Congo — started 2015, serving widows and orphans with education and women-in-development programs.
